CVE-2026-12436 is a high-severity mass-assignment vulnerability in GitLab Community Edition and Enterprise Edition. It affects versions 18.0 before 19.0.5, 19.1 before 19.1.3, and 19.2 before 19.2.1. The flaw is caused by improper validation of user-supplied attributes when processing pipeline schedule inputs in the Pipeline Schedule API. Under certain conditions, an authenticated user can supply attributes that are not properly constrained to the intended ownership or authorization context, allowing modification of CI/CD configuration belonging to another user. This creates a cross-scope configuration tampering condition in scheduled pipeline management.
