CVE-2026-12598 is an authentication bypass vulnerability in the LoginPress Pro plugin for WordPress affecting versions up to and including 6.2.3. The flaw resides in the Spotify Social Login addon, where the loginpress_on_spotify_login() function trusts the email value returned by Spotify's user profile endpoint and uses it directly to locate an existing WordPress account through email-based account matching. Because the Spotify profile email is not verified as proof of ownership, the plugin fails to validate that the authenticating Spotify user actually controls the corresponding WordPress account before establishing a session. As a result, an unauthenticated attacker can abuse the OAuth login flow to impersonate any existing WordPress user whose email address can be matched in the site, including privileged accounts.
