CVE-2026-12684 is an improper authentication vulnerability in the Customer Reviews for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before version 5.113.0. When the review media attachment feature is enabled, one of the plugin's media upload AJAX actions fails to enforce authentication, authorization capability checks, and nonce validation. As a result, unauthenticated users can invoke the upload functionality and submit media files restricted only by the plugin's image and video allowlist. Successful exploitation causes the uploaded content to be added to the WordPress Media Library and corresponding attachment posts to be created.
