CVE-2026-12860 is an improper cryptographic signature verification vulnerability in the RSADigestSigner component of Bouncy Castle for Java before 1.85 and Bouncy Castle for Java LTS from 2.73.0 before 2.73.12. RSA PKCS#1 signature verification skips comparison of the final two hash bytes when processing the NULL-omitted DigestInfo verification path. This incomplete comparison may cause crafted signatures to be incorrectly accepted, undermining signature-integrity validation.
