CVE-2026-14341 is an improper authorization vulnerability in GitLab Community Edition and Enterprise Edition. It affects all versions from 12.8 before 19.0.5, 19.1 before 19.1.3, and 19.2 before 19.2.1. Under certain conditions, an authenticated user holding the Maintainer role could use a projects API endpoint to modify protected branch configuration without the intended authorization checks. The flaw is associated with project import functionality and results from insufficient enforcement of authorization rules on operations affecting protected branch settings.
