CVE-2026-14664 is a heap-based buffer overflow in PostgreSQL regular-expression processing. Processing text that does not pass encoding validation can cause unanticipated data growth during conversion through pg_wchar, resulting in an undersized heap allocation and memory corruption. A query author can exploit the flaw to execute arbitrary code as the operating-system account running the PostgreSQL server. PostgreSQL releases before 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 are affected.
