CVE-2026-15015 is a critical authorization bypass vulnerability in the MountDev AI MCP Connector for WordPress plugin affecting all versions up to and including 1.6.1. The flaw stems from missing authorization checks in the plugin’s OAuth-related functionality, allowing actions to proceed without verifying that the requester is permitted to perform them. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit the issue by first using the publicly accessible Dynamic Client Registration capability to register an arbitrary OAuth client with an attacker-controlled redirect target, then invoking the unprotected authorization endpoint to complete the OAuth flow without administrator interaction. Successful exploitation results in issuance of an administrator-bound OAuth bearer token to the attacker. With that token, the attacker gains administrator-equivalent access to the plugin’s MCP-exposed functionality and access to exposed WordPress content, users, and options.
