CVE-2026-15114 is a high-severity out-of-bounds memory access vulnerability in the Codecs component of Google Chrome affecting versions prior to 150.0.7871.115. The flaw is described as an out-of-bounds read and write condition that can be triggered while Chrome processes specially crafted video or other multimedia content. The vulnerable condition can lead to heap corruption during media decoding and content processing, including when malicious multimedia is embedded in a webpage. Because the issue affects a browser media-processing component reachable through remote content, exploitation may be possible by inducing a target to load attacker-controlled web content containing crafted media.
