Versions prior to 150.0.7871.115 insufficiently validate untrusted input, allowing a local attacker to use a crafted HTML page to bypass the browser's same origin policy. The flaw is rooted in improper handling of attacker-controlled input during web app installation-related processing, resulting in a security boundary bypass rather than direct memory corruption.
