CVE-2026-16413 is a high-severity out-of-bounds write vulnerability in ANGLE, the graphics translation layer used by Google Chrome. In Chrome versions prior to 150.0.7871.182, improper bounds handling in ANGLE can lead to memory corruption when processing crafted web content. Google states that a remote attacker who has already compromised the renderer process could leverage a crafted HTML page to trigger the flaw and potentially escape Chrome’s sandbox. The issue is therefore relevant as a post-renderer-compromise primitive in a multi-stage browser exploit chain rather than as a standalone initial compromise vector.
