CVE-2026-18022 is an integer wraparound vulnerability in the IVFFlat index build logic of pgvector affecting versions before 0.8.6. On 32-bit systems, arithmetic performed during IVFFlat index creation can wrap, leading to incorrect size or offset calculations and enabling an out-of-bounds write. A database user with the ability to create an IVFFlat index can trigger the flaw. The memory corruption condition may result in arbitrary code execution within the database process context.
