CVE-2026-18297 is a stack-based buffer overflow in GStreamer Base Plugins during OGG file parsing. The parser fails to validate the length of user-supplied data before copying it into a stack buffer. A remote attacker can exploit the flaw by persuading a target to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, potentially executing arbitrary code in the context of the media-processing process. The vulnerability was previously tracked as ZDI-CAN-29584.
