CVE-2026-1830 is an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability in the Quick Playground plugin for WordPress affecting all versions up to and including 1.3.1. The flaw stems from insufficient authorization on REST API endpoints involved in the plugin’s synchronization and blueprint functionality. A publicly accessible blueprint endpoint exposed an internal sync code, and related synchronization endpoints relied on weak access control that could be bypassed. The upload functionality accepted attacker-controlled content and insufficiently sanitized the supplied filename, allowing directory traversal during file upload. By chaining sync code disclosure with arbitrary file upload and path traversal, an unauthenticated attacker could place a server-executable PHP file outside the intended upload location and then execute it on the target server. Reported hardening details indicate the vulnerable upload path accepted base64-encoded content and that the authorization design around sync operations was fundamentally flawed prior to version 1.3.2.
