CVE-2026-18329 is a fail-open access-control vulnerability in the NGINX JavaScript (njs) ngx_http_js_module when using the QuickJS engine. If a js_access handler performs asynchronous request-body processing and an exception occurs during access-control evaluation before the handler explicitly returns a denial, the js_access phase can allow the request to continue rather than deny it. A crafted HTTP request can therefore trigger an error path in vulnerable access-validation logic and bypass authentication or authorization protections on affected data-plane resources.
