CVE-2026-19033 is an insufficient verification of data authenticity flaw in BIND 9 named affecting TSIG-restricted secondary zones. During a multi-message TCP incremental zone transfer (IXFR), named can apply received deltas to the live secondary zone and begin serving them before receipt and validation of the final TSIG-signed message. If a valid final TSIG signature is never received, named does not restore the zone's pre-transfer state. An attacker without the TSIG key can therefore cause unauthorized DNS records to be retained in the secondary zone.
