CVE-2026-20098 is a vulnerability in the Certificate Management feature of Cisco Meeting Management’s web-based management interface that allows an authenticated remote attacker to upload arbitrary files due to improper input validation. By sending crafted HTTP requests, an attacker with valid credentials (at least the “video operator” role) can upload malicious files that may overwrite system files subsequently processed by the root account, resulting in arbitrary command execution and privilege escalation to root. Affected versions are Cisco Meeting Management releases 3.12 and earlier; the issue is reported to exist regardless of configuration and has no workaround per the provided content.
