CVE-2026-20176 is a command-injection vulnerability in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) caused by insufficient validation of user-supplied input. An authenticated remote attacker with valid high-privileged administrative credentials can send a crafted HTTP request to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system. Successful exploitation can provide system-level access followed by privilege escalation to root. In single-node deployments, exploitation may also render the ISE node unavailable and prevent endpoints that have not already authenticated from accessing the network until the node is restored.

An authenticated remote command-execution vulnerability in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). An attacker with valid high-privileged administrative credentials can send a crafted HTTP request to execute commands, obtain system-level operating-system access, and elevate privileges to root. Exploitation against a single-node deployment can also render the ISE node unavailable, preventing unauthenticated endpoints from accessing the network until restoration.
Cisco ISE vulnerability that allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system.
Authenticated operating-system command-execution vulnerability affecting Cisco ISE/ISE-PIC.
An authenticated remote command-execution vulnerability in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), caused by insufficient validation of user-supplied input. It requires high-privileged administrative credentials and can result in root privilege escalation and, in single-node deployments, node unavailability that prevents unauthenticated endpoints from accessing the network.
