CVE-2026-20211 is an insecure Java deserialization vulnerability in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). A remote attacker with valid high-privileged administrative credentials can submit a crafted serialized Java object to an affected device and execute arbitrary commands on its underlying operating system. Successful exploitation can provide user-level operating-system access followed by privilege escalation to root. In single-node deployments, exploitation can render the ISE node unavailable and prevent endpoints that have not already authenticated from accessing the network until restoration.

An authenticated remote command-execution vulnerability in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) caused by insecure Java object deserialization. An attacker with high-privileged administrative credentials can send a crafted serialized Java object to obtain operating-system user access and elevate privileges to root; exploitation in a single-node deployment may also render the ISE node unavailable, preventing unauthenticated endpoints from accessing the network.
Cisco ISE vulnerability that allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system.
Authenticated operating-system command-execution vulnerability affecting Cisco ISE/ISE-PIC.
An authenticated remote command-execution vulnerability in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) caused by insecure Java-object deserialization. An attacker with high-privileged administrative credentials can send a crafted serialized Java object to gain user-level operating-system access and potentially elevate to root; single-node deployments can become unavailable, preventing unauthenticated endpoints from accessing the network.
