CVE-2026-20324 is an improper authorization vulnerability in the sftunnel inter-device communication protocol of Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center (FMC) Software. A registered sftunnel peer is incorrectly permitted to write an arbitrary file to any location on an affected FMC device. An authenticated remote attacker that hijacks an sftunnel connection or operates as a valid registered peer can issue an sftunnel write operation to place a malicious file that is subsequently executed with root privileges.
