CVE-2026-20692 is a privacy flaw in Apple Mail affecting iOS, iPadOS, and macOS releases prior to iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, macOS Sequoia 15.7.5, macOS Sonoma 14.8.5, and macOS Tahoe 26.4. The issue was attributed to improper handling of user preferences, causing the Mail privacy controls "Hide IP Address" and "Block All Remote Content" to not apply consistently to all mail content. As a result, certain message content could be processed or loaded in a manner that bypassed the user’s configured privacy protections.
