CVE-2026-23074 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel net/sched subsystem caused by permitting the teql queueing discipline to be attached as a non-root child qdisc, contrary to its design constraints. When teql is used beneath QFQ, teql reports successful enqueue operations but updates its parent-visible queue length only during dequeue; its peek operation returns no packet. QFQ consequently does not invoke teql dequeue and observes a queue length of zero. A subsequent QFQ class configuration change can free aggregate-associated class pointers without correctly deactivating the class. When delayed traffic is later rescheduled, the kernel dereferences a dangling pointer. The correction restricts teql to use as a root qdisc.
