CVE-2026-23449 is a race condition in the Linux kernel Traffic Equalizer (TEQL) traffic-control implementation. When a TEQL device uses a lockless root qdisc, teardown can invoke qdisc_reset without holding the required sequence lock, allowing it to race with the transmit datapath. The race can cause the same socket buffer data to be released twice, resulting in a kernel double-free during TEQL device destruction or qdisc replacement.
