CVE-2026-24422 is an information disclosure vulnerability in phpMyFAQ affecting version 4.0.16 and earlier. Multiple public API endpoints expose sensitive user information because of insufficient access controls and unsafe default behavior. In particular, the OpenQuestionController::list() endpoint invokes Question::getAll() with showAll=true by default, causing records marked as non-public (isVisible=false) to be returned. The exposed data includes user email addresses and content that was explicitly intended to remain private. Similar exposure conditions are present in public comment, news, and FAQ API endpoints. The issue stems from improper authorization and visibility enforcement on unauthenticated API responses.
