CVE-2026-26830 is an OS command injection vulnerability in the npm package pdf-image through version 2.0.0. The constructGetInfoCommand and constructConvertCommandForPage functions interpolate the user-controlled pdfFilePath value into shell command strings using util.format(), then execute those strings through child_process.exec(). Shell metacharacters embedded in a supplied path can alter the intended command and cause execution of attacker-controlled operating-system commands.
