CVE-2026-27857 is an uncontrolled memory-consumption vulnerability in Dovecot imap-login. A crafted IMAP NOOP command containing thousands of opening and closing parentheses causes substantial per-connection memory allocation. An attacker can prolong allocation by withholding the line-feed that terminates the command and can amplify consumption through many connections, potentially exhausting the process virtual-memory limit.
