CVE-2026-28431 affects the Misskey open-source federated social media platform. Misskey servers running version 8.45.0 and later, but prior to 2026.3.1, contain flaws involving insufficient permission/authorization checks and improper input validation. These issues allow an unauthenticated attacker to access data that should not be available to them. The vulnerability is reported to apply regardless of whether federation is enabled. Public disclosure intentionally withholds deeper technical details, but the available information indicates the issue is an authorization failure combined with inadequate validation that can expose protected data.
