CVE-2026-28515 is a missing authorization vulnerability in openDCIM 23.04 through commit 4467e9c4 affecting install.php and container-install.php. The installer and upgrade handler expose LDAP configuration functionality without enforcing the application’s SiteAdmin or equivalent role checks. As a result, any authenticated user can reach privileged configuration logic regardless of assigned privileges and modify application configuration. In deployments that rely on REMOTE_USER being set without actual upstream authentication enforcement, the affected functionality may also be reachable without credentials. The flaw affects sensitive installer and upgrade paths that remain accessible in production and permits unauthorized changes to LDAP-related configuration.

A missing authorization (CWE-862) vulnerability in openDCIM 23.04 (through commit 4467e9c4) where installer/upgrade endpoints (install.php, container-install.php) expose LDAP configuration functionality without enforcing role checks, enabling unauthorized configuration changes; may be reachable without credentials in certain REMOTE_USER deployments.
An authorization bypass in openDCIM where install.php remains accessible post-install/upgrade without proper admin/role checks, enabling non-admin (and in some Docker deployments, unauthenticated) access to sensitive configuration functionality.
