CVE-2026-28742 affects all versions of multiple Naxclow IoT product lines, including Smart Doorbell X3, X Smart Home, V720, and ix cam. The vulnerability stems from Naxclow’s request-signing design: every firmware image contains the same hard-coded, platform-wide salt used to generate signatures for device and account operations. Because the signing secret is not unique per device and can be extracted from any single device or firmware image, compromise of one unit enables generation of valid signatures for arbitrary requests across the entire platform. The issue is compounded by the absence of per-device keys, lack of server-side nonce tracking or replay protection, and use of plain HTTP for control-plane traffic. Together, these weaknesses allow forged and replayed signed requests and enable impersonation of devices or accounts at platform scope.
