CVE-2026-29008 is an integer underflow in U-Boot through 2026.04-rc3 in the TCP receive state machine. A malformed TCP SYN+ACK packet with a manipulated TCP data-offset field can make the calculated payload length negative. In the TCP_SYN_SENT handling path, this value reaches tcp_rx_user_data() without prior segment-window validation. Its subsequent implicit conversion to an unsigned length causes a very large copy length to be supplied to memcpy() by store_block(), resulting in a bootloader crash. Memory corruption may also be possible in builds where CONFIG_LMB is disabled.
