CVE-2026-2931 is an insecure direct object reference and authorization bypass vulnerability in the Amelia Booking plugin for WordPress, including Amelia Booking Pro, affecting versions up to and including 9.1.2. The flaw stems from user-controlled access to internal objects without proper authorization checks, allowing a low-privileged authenticated Amelia customer to act on arbitrary user records. Available references indicate the issue is associated with customer update functionality, including code paths such as UpdateCustomerCommandHandler.php and UpdateCustomerController.php. Under common configurations, an authenticated attacker with customer-level permissions or higher can change the password of arbitrary WordPress users, including administrators, which can lead to full administrator account takeover.
