CVE-2026-30833 is a NoSQL injection vulnerability in Rocket.Chat’s account service used by the ddp-streamer microservice. In affected versions prior to 7.10.8, 7.11.5, 7.12.5, 7.13.4, 8.0.2, 8.1.1, and 8.2.0, the username-based authentication flow embeds user-controlled input directly into a MongoDB query selector without sufficient validation or type enforcement. Because the application expects a username string but does not safely constrain the supplied value, an unauthenticated attacker can provide MongoDB operator expressions instead of a literal username. This allows manipulation of the authentication query so that it matches unintended user records during login processing.
