CVE-2026-32056 is a remote code execution vulnerability in OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.22. The flaw is in the system.run function, which does not properly sanitize the shell startup environment variables HOME and ZDOTDIR before invoking shell-based command execution. Because these variables influence where shells load initialization files, an attacker can manipulate them so that malicious shell startup files are processed before the intended command is evaluated against the application’s command allowlist. This enables bypass of the allowlist protection and execution of attacker-controlled code prior to the approved command flow.
