CVE-2026-32107 is a local privilege escalation vulnerability in xrdp, the open source RDP server, affecting versions through 0.10.5. The flaw is in the session execution component, which does not properly handle an error condition during the privilege drop process. Because privilege management is handled incorrectly, an authenticated local attacker may be able to cause execution to continue with elevated privileges instead of safely failing, ultimately enabling escalation to root. The available reporting also states that arbitrary code execution on the affected system is possible after successful exploitation, although an additional exploit is required to facilitate exploitation.
