CVE-2026-33005 is an improper handling of insufficient privileges vulnerability in Apache OpenMeetings affecting versions before 9.0.0. Any registered user can authenticate with their own valid credentials and query the FileWebService to enumerate files and subfolders belonging to arbitrary folders by supplying a folder ID, even when they should not have access to that folder. The exposed data is limited to metadata rather than file contents, and includes fields such as object id, type, name, and other attributes represented by the FileItemDTO object. The issue is therefore an authorization flaw in server-side access control for folder metadata retrieval.
