CVE-2026-33067 affects SiYuan, a personal knowledge management system. In versions 3.6.0 and earlier, package metadata fields in the Bazaar page, specifically displayName and description, are rendered using template literals without HTML escaping. This allows a malicious package author to place arbitrary HTML and JavaScript into package metadata. When another user browses the Bazaar page, the injected script executes automatically in the application's Electron renderer context. Because SiYuan is configured with Electron security-weakening settings, specifically nodeIntegration: true and contextIsolation: false, the cross-site scripting condition is not confined to DOM/script execution and can be escalated directly to operating-system-level remote code execution on the victim host. The issue is fixed in SiYuan 3.6.1.
