CVE-2026-33143 is an improper verification of data authenticity issue in OneUptime affecting versions prior to 10.0.34. The vulnerable component is the WhatsApp POST webhook handler at /notification/whatsapp/webhook, which processes incoming WhatsApp status update events without validating the Meta/WhatsApp X-Hub-Signature-256 HMAC signature. Because the endpoint accepts webhook payloads without confirming they originated from WhatsApp/Meta, an unauthenticated remote attacker can submit forged status update messages directly to the handler. This can alter internal notification delivery state and undermine the integrity of operational records. The advisory notes that the codebase already performs proper signature verification for Slack webhooks, indicating the flaw is specific to the WhatsApp webhook implementation. The issue was patched in OneUptime version 10.0.34.
