CVE-2026-33191 affects Free5GC versions prior to 1.4.2. The flaw is a null byte injection issue in URL path parameters within the UDM's Nudm_SubscriberDataManagement API. A remote attacker can supply URL-encoded null bytes (%00) in the supi path parameter. When processing this input, the UDM constructs a URL for the UDR that includes the injected control characters. Go's net/url parser rejects the resulting URL with the error "invalid control character in URL," causing request handling to fail and the application to return HTTP 500 Internal Server Error instead of properly validating the input and returning HTTP 400 Bad Request. The issue is therefore remotely triggerable and results in a denial-of-service condition for affected requests.
