CVE-2026-33264 is a remote code execution vulnerability in Apache Airflow affecting versions prior to 3.3.0. The flaw is in BaseSerialization.deserialize(), which allowed unrestricted import_string() of attacker-controlled class paths when the Scheduler or API Server loaded a serialized DAG. By embedding a malicious trigger into a DAG, a DAG author could cause attacker-controlled code to be imported and executed in the Scheduler or API Server process. This breaks Airflow’s intended security boundary, under which DAG-author code must not execute in those processes.
