CVE-2026-33324 affects SQLBot, an LLM- and RAG-based Text-to-SQL system. In SQLBot 1.7.0 and earlier, the Text2SQL chat interface concatenates the user-supplied question parameter directly into the LLM prompt without filtering or escaping. SQL extracted from the LLM response is then executed against the configured database without validation or sanitization. This creates a prompt-injection-driven SQL execution flaw in which an authenticated attacker can submit a crafted question that manipulates the model into producing attacker-controlled SQL, which SQLBot subsequently executes. In PostgreSQL-backed deployments, the impact can escalate further because generated SQL may invoke PostgreSQL features such as COPY FROM PROGRAM, enabling remote code execution on the database host.
