CVE-2026-33818 is an uncontrolled-recursion denial-of-service vulnerability in Go's encoding/asn1 package. ASN.1 Unmarshal did not enforce a maximum recursion depth when processing deeply nested recursive ASN.1 structures, allowing attacker-supplied input to drive recursive parsing until the Go process exhausts its stack. Go security releases 1.26.6 and 1.25.13 introduced a maximum recursion-depth limit; downstream enterprise distributions also shipped the fix in later packaged Go updates.
