CVE-2026-34005 is a root-level OS command injection vulnerability affecting Sofia on Xiongmai DVR/NVR devices, specifically the AHB7008T-MH-V2 and NBD7024H-P models running firmware version 4.03.R11. The flaw is present in the NetWork.NetCommon configuration handler exposed through the authenticated DVRIP protocol on TCP port 34567. The HostName parameter is incorporated into a shell command without proper neutralization of shell metacharacters, and the implementation uses system() on attacker-controlled input. As a result, an authenticated attacker can supply a crafted HostName value containing shell metacharacters and cause arbitrary operating system commands to be executed as root on the device.
