The flaw is caused by improper neutralization of special elements used in SQL commands, allowing untrusted input to be incorporated into database queries in an unsafe manner. Affected versions are Apache Portable Runtime Utility 1.6.0 through 1.6.3. The issue was fixed in the 1.6.x branch on 2026-08-06.
