CVE-2026-34220 is a SQL injection vulnerability in MikroORM, a TypeScript ORM for Node.js. Versions prior to 6.6.10 and 7.0.6 are affected. The flaw occurs when specially crafted objects are incorrectly interpreted as raw SQL query fragments during ORM query or write construction. According to the advisory, unsafe handling can occur in code paths such as wrap(entity).assign(userInput), em.nativeUpdate(), em.nativeInsert(), or em.create() followed by em.flush() when untrusted input is passed directly. The root cause is duck-typed detection of internal ORM marker properties, allowing attacker-controlled objects to be treated as trusted raw SQL fragments. The vendor patched the issue by replacing this behavior with symbol-based internal markers that cannot be reproduced through normal user input.
