CVE-2026-34222 is a broken access control vulnerability in Open WebUI affecting versions prior to 0.8.11. The flaw exists in the Tool Valves functionality, specifically the GET /id/{id}/valves endpoint in backend/open_webui/routers/tools.py. The endpoint uses get_verified_user but does not enforce that the requesting user has administrative privileges before returning valve data. As a result, a low-privileged authenticated user, such as a Member, can read Tool Valve contents that should be restricted to administrators. Because Tool Valves may store sensitive configuration data for external integrations, including API keys, the vulnerability can expose secrets associated with backend tools and third-party systems.
