CVE-2026-34393 is a privilege escalation vulnerability in Weblate, a web-based localization tool. In Weblate versions prior to 5.17, the user patching API endpoint did not properly limit the scope of edits. As a result, an authenticated user could submit patch requests that modify data beyond the permissions or object scope intended by the application. The issue is described as stemming from insufficient restriction of edit scope in the user patching API and was fixed in Weblate 5.17.
