CVE-2026-34834 affects Bulwark Webmail, a self-hosted webmail client for Stalwart Mail Server. In versions prior to 1.4.10, the verifyIdentity() function contained flawed logic that returned true when no session cookies were present. As a result, authentication and identity verification checks could be bypassed. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this condition against the /api/settings endpoint by supplying arbitrary headers, allowing access to and modification of user settings without a valid authenticated session.
