CVE-2026-3505 is an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. BC-JAVA affecting the bcpg OpenPGP modules. The flaw is described as allocation of resources without limits or throttling and is associated with AEAD-related packet-processing code, including AEADEncDataPacket, BcAEADUtil, JceAEADUtil, and OperatorHelper. Affected versions are BC-JAVA from 1.74 before 1.80.2, from 1.81 before 1.81.1, and from 1.82 before 1.84. The vulnerability indicates that crafted input processed by the affected OpenPGP AEAD functionality can trigger excessive resource allocation due to insufficient bounds or throttling controls.
