CVE-2026-35520 is a remote code execution vulnerability in FTLDNS (pihole-FTL) affecting versions 6.0 through before 6.6. The flaw is in handling of the DHCP lease time configuration parameter, dhcp.leaseTime. An authenticated attacker can supply newline characters in this parameter to inject arbitrary dnsmasq configuration directives. Because the injected directives are incorporated into dnsmasq configuration processed by the Pi-hole FTL engine, the attacker can ultimately achieve command execution on the underlying host system.
