CVE-2026-39338 is a blind reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in ChurchCRM affecting versions prior to 7.1.0. The flaw exists in the search parameter accepted by the ChurchCRM dashboard. ChurchCRM fails to properly sanitize or encode user-supplied input before rendering it into the browser DOM, allowing attacker-controlled script content to be reflected and executed client-side. The available description indicates that even when the injected payload causes a malformed API request and the application ultimately returns an HTTP 500 error, the browser parses and executes injected <script> tags before the error response is fully handled. As a result, arbitrary JavaScript can execute in the victim’s browser despite the server-side error condition.
