CVE-2026-39826 is a cross-site scripting vulnerability in Go's html/template package. It occurs when a trusted template author creates a script element whose type attribute is empty or contains ASCII whitespace. Under those conditions, html/template incorrectly escapes data supplied within the script block during template execution, allowing attacker-controlled content to be interpreted in an unsafe script context.
